This thesis examines the Quranic verses related to reading (Qira’ah), recitation (Tilawah), and chanting/measured recitation (Tartil). The study seeks to reveal the theological, educational, and legislative significances embedded within these verses, moving beyond the superficial pronunciation of words toward a profound understanding of the Muslim's relationship with the Quran and its impact on their thoughts, behaviors, and actions. This is achieved by defining the semantic implications of these terms within their specific Quranic contexts, analyzing their usage, and deducing their doctrinal and practical contents. Consequently, the study contributes to deepening Quranic understanding and enriching semantic-oriented Quranic studies, while clarifying the semantic distinctions between these concepts and their related Sharia objectives. The research adopts an inductive-analytical approach, utilizing textual analysis to explore the meanings of these verses and terms. It gathers all verses mentioning reading, recitation, and tartil, analyzing their textual and thematic contexts and linking them to theological, educational, and legislative dimensions. The research is organized into three chapters: Chapter One: Addresses the theological (doctrinal) significance of these verses. Chapter Two: Reviews the associated educational implications. Chapter Three: Focuses on the legislative dimension and its impact on building the individual and society. The study concludes that these verses are not identical in meaning; rather, each carries a distinct significance that reflects the relationship between the linguistic root and the theological, educational, or legislative contexts. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that perceiving these concepts enhances an individual's awareness of their conduct and worship, strengthening social bonds. This elevates the reading of the Holy Quran from mere verbal recitation to a conscious engagement with the text, internalizing its objectives and applying them in daily life.en
